About Us
Sachem Aftershock is a F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition Team comprised of high school students from both the Highschools of the Sachem Central School District. Our vision "To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders."
F.I.R.S.T Robotics
The non-profit organization FIRST, which stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology," The goal of FIRST, as described by its founder Dean Kamen, is to cultivate a world that celebrates science and technology, and motivates young people to aspire to be In STEAM. The FIRST Robotics competition program aims to inspire students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by providing hands-on experience in real-world engineering challenges.
