This week we have been able to start testing all of our robot's mechanisms on the various field elements. The majority of our test period has been dedicated to shooting as we believe that perfecting our shooting will give us the best chance at winning each of our matches. Our first day of full bot testing showed a lot of problems with our shooter, but in less than 48 hours we were back to shooting the way we wanted. Today and yesterday, our programmers have been collecting data and designating RPMs for each recorded distance. The sub-team dedicated to building the field elements at the beginning of the season have spent the past two weeks designing and constructing a new pit bench. As opposed to the one used in previous years, this one has pistons which allows for our new electrical board design which has a drop down feature so that team members no longer have to crawl underneath the bot.
