The students of the Sachem High School robotics program are currently in the final stages of development for their 2026 competition robot. This period represents the culmination of intensive design, mechanical engineering, and sophisticated programming efforts.

Current Development Status

With the competition deadline approaching, the team has transitioned into high-intensity integration. Key areas of focus include:

  • Mechanical Systems: Final assembly of the chassis and specialized manipulators.

  • Electrical Engineering: Completing complex wiring looms and ensuring sensor calibration.

  • Software Development: Iterating on autonomous code and refining driver-control interfaces.

  • Systems Testing: Conducting rigorous stress tests to ensure structural integrity and operational reliability.

The Path to Completion

Despite the compressed timeline, the team continues to reach daily milestones. The "crunch" phase is being met with a disciplined workflow, ensuring that every subsystem meets the high standards required for regional competition. We are incredibly proud of the dedication these students are showing as they apply STEM principles to solve real-world technical challenges.

Stay tuned for a comprehensive technical update and a first look at the completed build next week.
