Today is the sixth day of build season. In these past two days, team members have been working diligently on prototypes for this year’s game. In the robotics lab, groups have been formed based on the various tasks: climbing the scale, filling the vault, lifting and retrieving cubes. These groups have been further split based on designs. Voting for top designs will happen shortly. After carefully looking over the game manual and strategizing, a course of action has been decided upon. Last year’s active drive team did some test drives with the different types of wheels and decided that using a six-wheel-drive would be most advantageous. New programmers are still learning the basics of Java, but have made significant progress since the start of the year.
